Navigating this Site

I hope you find this site intuitive and easy to use. There are two main ways to navigate the site, these are via the menu at the top of the page and the one down the right hand side of the page. It is this one that you will use the most to navigate to the various pages containing information on families and individuals, the places they lived and the jobs they did.

On some of these pages, at the bottom of the page, you may nottice what appears to be an upturned page corner. Clicking on these will take you to the previous or next page within the section you are looking at.

Some individuals also have a small photograph alongside their name. Clicking on this photograph will enlarge it.

Web Browsers

In my opinion the best web browser is Mozilla's FireFox, however, Microsoft's Internet Explorer is still the most popular browser at present. Consequently I have tried to make this site usable in most of the popular browsers and I have tested it on:

It was designed to be viewed on a monitor set to at least 800x600 resolution without needing to revert to horizontal scrolling. If you're using a higher resolution, so much the better.

Due to the fact that all browsers have their own way of displaying information, some parts of the site may look or work differently between browsers, however, all aspects of the site should work.

All pages on this site have been validated and conform to the W3C guidelines and standards. If you find a problem with the way the site works then please contact me with details and I will try and correct it.
