Current Research

The web is a wonderful research tool and a great means of reaching a wider group of people, who nearly always seem willing to help. At present there are two main areas of research I am currently involved in, and would appreciate any help you may be able to provide.

The first area I'm interested in is any information on WilliamRichardson born circa 1760 and his father John Richardson who may have been born circa 1736.

It's possible they were both born in the Parish of Birkin, possibly in the village of Chapel Haddlesey.

This is based on the following information I have come across...

John oldest son of William Richardson of Carlton farmer (son of John of Haddlesey par: Birkin by Sarah his wife dau. of John Bussy of Birne par: Brayton farmer) & Ales dau. Of Thomas Swain of Carlton farmer by Sarah his wife dau. Of William Cooper of Lincoln) born 06 Jul 1778 bap: 13 Jul 1778.
